Eradicating sexual exploitation.
Our mission is to offer compassionate care and healing through education, restoration, and empowerment of individuals breaking free from sexual exploitation and bondage.
“…He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness, the prisoners.” – Isaiah 61:1
What We Do
Valiant Hearts focuses its efforts on five target groups. Through partnerships with churches, schools, and other nonprofit organizations, we are able to combat the effects of sexual exploitation from both a preventative and restorative approach.
We Offer Support To
Women who have been sexually exploited
Men overcoming sexual bondage
Youth who have been targeted
Families who have been impacted
Internationally trafficked victims
In 2010, God called us to reach out to women currently working in the sex industry. We Are Cherished launched a monthly outreach into the strip clubs of Dallas and Fort Worth bringing gifts, love, and hope. The weekly Support Group was formed in early 2011, and women continue to walk through the doors every week seeking acceptance, hope and, ultimately, the love of a Savior.
In 2015, our current Executive Director, Carrie Gurley, had a vision to reach out not only to the women caught in the midst of sexual exploitation, but to also offer freedom and restoration to everyone being impacted. The mission was clear: a holistic approach to offer support for everyone affected by this problem.
With this new vision came a new name: Valiant Hearts. The name describes those brave enough to start the journey toward healing and freedom, as well as those working to combat this evil. You are invited to join us on this journey as we set into motion a multi-generational impact of freedom.
